People still use IE6? *gasp*
If you look at the who's online list, you'll see there are a few people using IE6. I thought we were a tech literate crowd?
You'd be surprised how many people still use IE6. For many people, the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality is strong*.
The people might here be in an Internet Cafe or at school where they wouldn't have a choice...
* Even though, technically, IE6 is quite broken, it's not broken in a way that most people would ever notice...

Sometimes you'll see me here on IE5. ... because that's the version on my Axim handheld.
Other times you'll see me here on IE6. ... because that's the version on my 211 handheld.
Sometimes I'll be on IE7, or or IE8, or assorted versions of firefox, or opera, or konquerer (shows up as Mozilla).
Sometimes using an old version IS an indication that the person is tech savvy.

There's another option.
Companies that use intranet apps that they either haven't bought upgrades for, or don't even have upgrades, which require IE6.
Beancounters are heavy on the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" line of reasoning.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My signature, without me, is useless. Without my signature, I am useless.
I'm a proud IE user.
But as I'm mostly on Linux these days that's a void point.
To put it into perspective, I'm the kind of person who refuses to upgrade a 6 year old cell phone, and am generally slow to adapt to new tech. (Not because I have any problems understanding it but because I enjoy using familiar things and dislike throwing them away without a very compelling reason.)

If that's not the help you're after then you're going to have to explain the problem better than what you have. - joanusdmentia
