I know I have my faults. But...seems I'm not the only one. Check this out: Hilarity inside Basically, I turned one of the most respected members here, into a giant crybaby, because I *dared* to imply he was wrong in some small thing he explained. Whether he was actually wrong or right is irrelevant, since technical discussions are done every day in that channel, and someone is wrong and someone is right. If that discussion was done with a regular member, or even an op that is alright in his head, it would be one of the countless conversations where 2 people disagree. Of course, the op in question seems to be some weird semi-human that is enraged even in the slightest hint that he could be wrong. Which, even though it's ridiculous to discuss since if the conversation is carried out in a respectful manner it doesn't matter WHO is right or wrong(unless you're the pope), he was actually wrong. Notice how he says 'this is the SAME technique that XYZ uses', and then changes his words and say 'this is a SIMILAR technique'. Yeah. As I said, not that it matters. What matters though, is the sad, sad response of the crowd in that channel. Not one protested 'hey, you ban a guy that was at all times polite and respectful, because he suggested you were wrong'? Instead, it was met with applauds. Nice, guys. Real nice. Way to feed into the ego of someone who thinks he can do no wrong, and the only appropriate responses he deems fit in a conversation is 'yes,master, you're so awesome master'. Maybe this giant crybaby(because that's what he is, as was sadded to discover) will eventually take over the entire channel? Who knows! I won't be here to find out. Not because the op in question is an raving idiot(who cares), but because of the response of the community. They think that they will never happen to disagree with him, so they don't care? They want sometimes to disagree with him, but scared? Who knows. Anyway, adios amigos, and hey you oh so smart crybaby, don't go and spend all night with hentai to calm down, you're right. You're always right.

I personally couldn't be arsed to rise to defend your ass given your history of trolling. Edit: "a guy that was at all times polite and respectful"? What fucking planet you from? What goes around comes around. Whinethreads like this almost make me wish you'd make good when you say "goodbye forever" for once.

A few things:
1. Seriously? I mean, hold on while I try and find my bucket so that I can catch these tears and treasure them always.

2. Anytime you have a discussion with someone, you seem to lack the ability to use "common sense" and "imagination". Which means that you put everything upon the other party to explain EVERYTHING in the most minute of details. Case and point, the physics discussion from a while ago, where you also stormed out claiming "I'm not coming back" then too.

3. I don't hate you, I don't have any feeling either way towards you.

4. You whine about everything. Anytime someone looks at you slightly funny you run off and start whining. At some point I might have had some sympathy towards you, but then I remembered ra.

5. You seem to expect everyone to give you the sources of everything they discuss, if someone says "oh yes, XYZ does JKL" then instead of looking it up (which would be the appropriate response), you demand an explanation. Sorry, this is the internet, and more specifically IRC. We're not here to pamper and baby you all the way through. (in fact, it was downright surprising when you looked up the Stalker reference)

6. Your lamer is 24 hours, which is the length of time a normal ban is before it expires. The kick message clearly came after the ban, which means you knew you were banned. Changing your IP and rejoining is ban evasion, even if it wasn't intentional.

You're lieing. I have never, EVER, insulted any member in any way unless provoked by worse insults. And that's basically a few members that do that. There is not one member of #gamedev that can think of an occasion that I was really hostile without being provoked, and when I mean provoked, I don't mean silly jokes, but actual repetitive insults. I am absolutely positive on this. I have no idea what you mean 'trolling'. The most I can think of, is when I rant about my personal problems in #gamedev. Which might be annoying, but hardly trolling. I have not disrespected, or insulted ANYONE. Really. Give at least one example. One.

I don't even dignify Washu with an answer, his list are basically reasons not to like someone, not to ban him from a channel you're supposed to moderate(when you don't kick everyone in it just for fun).

A grown man that throws a tantrum because someone, somewhere, suggested he could be wrong. If I "whine" everytime someone "looks me funny", then what exactly are you doing? It's ten time worse, you banned someone becuase he, what? Said you were inaccurate in some tiny little stuff you explained, in a field you yourself admit you're not even interested in? You said you don't have any feelings of hatred against me, so this ban was exclusively because I disagreed with you.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because somebody may have "started it" on any given occasion doesn't make responding in kind justified. It just makes both parties culpable.
