Last year I got my steam copy after release (got the valve pack hoping to give all dupes to my brothers, found after the fact you could only give away hl2), so I payed as full a price as there could be, I refuse to do so again, and 10% for preorders just didn't cut it for me, I was hoping (long time) owners of the first one could get an extra cut on the cost, IE: expansion price after Gabe Newell said to "trust us", didn't happen, nothing happened really, everything went as expected, I am glad I didn't trust.

Anyway, I am ranting and venting now, but I am not angry, just holding on to my money for now, like I am for UT3 until there is a Linux client [lol].

Not that this says anything about long-term price trends, but it's (the PC version, anyway) already available for $29.99 from Dell.

Edit: Also, I think it's super fun. The level designers clearly put some work into the campaigns, and the entire experience in general is a step above L4D.

Getting the boxed version here after courier costs and custom taxes would probably bring it back to ~50 [sad]. some others might be able to take advantage though, so thanks [smile]

Yup, and you missed it but Dragon Age was 25% off yesterday too.

Some store was selling Left 4 Dead 2 for $34.99 on XBox 360 today. Maaaybe it was all weekend, but I think it was just a Black Friday deal. Sorry, but I didn't catch the store, as it was just one of many deals on the Holiday Shopping X-Play episode. I think maybe it was Best Buy?

Picked up Left 4 Dead and Dragon Age tonight for 49.99 each at Future Shop. Good sale!

Had a blast playing it, and I've barely scratched the surface.

49.99??? Console? Wow, I didn't know the price had gone up that much. So the sale price for consoles is normal price for PC :/

I think Daaark meant Canadian, otherwise, if it were PC that's retail price.

Yeah, it was a typo, I meant 39.99 cdn each. Great sale. Got both for what I would have paid for one of them a week ago. Normal price on each is 69.99

This is an amazingly fun game. The only thing that ruins it is the occasional unfriendly player, or getting matched into idle lobbies.
