I'm working on a farming simulation gdd right now and for me its a great homage to all the Harvest Moon games, even games like Startopia that gave you just a little. Farming sims are really back in fashion on Facebook with some fun creative features in these free games but I think the perfect farming sim is different for everyone. So if you are a fan of farming sims, what do you think makes the perfect game? For myself its choice, lots of animals/crops/etc

The only farminig sim I think I ever played was SimFarm back in the day. The things I most remember doing was crop choices (gestation periods, crop rotation, etc) and breeding animals (very generic, mostly just involved feeding and hoping for a large number in a "liter" so you'd have more animals to sell). It might be interesting to see animal husbandry expanded, like the introduction of simple genetics and attempting to breed certain traits in the animals).

Zombie Livestock + Combine Harvesters == WIN
If you can run through genetically modified food protesters with combines I'd be happy.

FarmVille on Facebook would be so much better if you could grow opium poppies rather than cabbages and adopt lost strippers rather than cows. =P
