Dark Messiah! Dude taht game looks awesome, but I never got to play it.

Anywho, Gothic is also FPS too i think, though you could go 3rd person.

Also, with Hexen, there is Heretic, the prequel to it.
#pothb - Gothic is not FPS, it is very good RPG (one of the best I've ever played). Also notice that I'm not counting Gothic 3 (that one was much much worse than Gothic 1 and 2) and Arcania (I haven't played it and I think it just won't be as good as Gothic 1 and 2).
Anyway Gothic 1 and 2 (along with Night of the Raven expansions) really worths to play 'em.

BloodRayne: "An unholy union of human and vampire, you were raised and trained by a secret government agency to hunt down and eliminate evil forces across the globe. Now you must take on an occult faction of pre-Nazis and their army of vile, unearthly ghouls to prevent them from unleashing creatures of unfathomable terror onto the world."

Painkiller: "Trapped in a dark and unwelcoming world, awaiting purification for your earthly sins, you must fight through an endless number of enemy warriors, as you attempt to stop the imminent Unholy War and overthrow Lucifer."

Both are FPSes with a demonic theme. Fantasy enough for you? :)

Also third-person shooters tend to have more creative settings (like Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Messiah and MDK2). I wonder if it has something to do with the first-person perspective...

Ah yea... I was just thinking first person games, I was pretty sure the Gothic games can be played in first person, though it's more of a swords thing, and not a shooter, could be wrong,... I only briefly played Gothic 1 years ago.
