Hi everyone! My name is Brice, and I've been a GameDev lurker forever and longtime fan of everyone's stuff here on the site. I have since become a professional game designer and have started making some helpful videos for others interested in game design. I thought some people on here would enjoy them. You can find it on Youtube at

Hey Brice,

That was a pretty good tutorial, its simple and easy to follow but try to go a little easier on the music next time.

It was really basic, I hope you make it a bit more difficult next time so I can learn from it too although its perfect for absolute beginners.

I couldn't find more videos which is too bad because I enjoyed it! :)

Good luck!

Thanks! The videos are posted weekly on The Game Prodigy, so the next one will be coming up on Monday. Also they won't all be beginner tutorials.

(Is there any way to make a link?)

Yeah, you have to use html.

Very nice tutorial though, I don't think I've seen something that so pleasantly combined game design theory and application without getting stuck on the engineering aspects. Terrific job.
Great,

I also checked the website, made for an interesting read so I will check it out from time to time.
And I also like the idea of those video's being weekly instead of like monthly.

Keep up the good work!

Short and sweet. I like it. I have a long attention span for text, but almost none for videos. This was worth the time, though.

I have to agree with Bjorn on the music, though. It sounded a little funny appearing suddenly over the cut screens and disappearing just as suddenly when you moved on. Maybe make it a little subtler.

Thanks for the feedback! Bjorn, what kinds of advanced topics would you like us to cover?

Hey Brice,

That depends on the kind of topics and how in-depth you were planning to cover them.Did you want to focus on gameplay mechanics?

I'm fine with every piece of information on Game Design I can get my hands on.
No matter how basic or boring it may seem, making the GDD, making pitces and getting people excited, flowcharts, gameplay mechanics, theory and application, whatever knowledge and experience you have and feel like sharing.

I'm a student and I enjoy learning about the subjects I love. :)

And good luck with your website too,

-Bjorn

Sounds good. Expect more coming on the site soon!
