Indeed. All the legal paperwork in the world is ultimately meaningless unless you're prepared to hire lawyers to enforce it should things turn sour. I suppose it provides a certain 'paper tiger' quality, making people think twice before screwing you... but in general the ones who are out to take advantage will know it's ineffective.
