Hello everyone. I am thinking of making a game which is from my favourite cartoon. and I was thinking what the legal issues are. and lets say I get to make money out of the game, is that illegal? and what if people make a donation for the game, is that illegal too?

The short answer is that you can't legally use someone else's intellectual property without their explicit permission. Whether you're getting paid or not is irrelevant.
