Hi there. Not sure if this is the right place for my question, and if not, then I apologise. I've been listening to a lot of video game music recently to try and train my ear a little and there's one thing that I've never been able to work out.

I think it's just generic metal hit sounds, sometimes you'll find them in percssive libraries, e.g. Stormdrum 2.

I hear a low tom, a mid tom, a snare drum (later on), triangle, anvil, possibly an empty bottle or rhythm sticks, low synth bass.

Also, I think a light phaser has been applied to all of the instruments, along with slight reverb.
