MIT Online - Free Back in a former life, before I realized being the smartest kid at my podunk school didn't mean I was the smartest kid on the planet I considered an education at MIT. Regardless of whether I had the gray matter I was in no way qualified financially. MIT has released its entire curriculum for free. MIT license style. While it will not certify you for learning it's material, it has given it to you, along with videos of lectures. Here is an ancap article regarding some of the implications from an ancap perspective. Specifically it regards gatekeepers of modern education and some possible results of MIT's move. As an amateur programmer with a few degrees in another field I fully intend to explore some of their computer science curriculum to educate myself and hopefully be a better hobbiest. I noticed their comp science 101 classes use python. I guess it's time to learn yet another language. [smile]

This was in a recent PopSci magazine. I thought about posting this too, but found out they've been doing it for years.

The PopSci article also mentioned a site called BYKI.com for learning languages.
