What percentage of technical messageboards like this one actually allow HTML tags inside posts?
Remember Codeka is my alternate account, just remember that!
I'm the type that tried everything until I'm stuck. However, not knowing the real keywords sometimes bring problem - or too much unrelated answer.
Usually for these question I've mentioned what I've tried, usually so that people are not suggesting what I've already tried, which is a compelete waste of time.
Talk about keywords, I've used 'adoption' before. Image going through lots of websites, legal mumbo jumbo, until to sleep on the problem, get a dream, and therefore the aha keyword 'adult adoption'.
Meh.

I am new in this forum, but as far as I tell people really try very much to help people.
Even if someone asks a really stupid question (like "I am new to programming, I want to build a mmorpg. how can I do that?") people here is really patient and give good answeres to even this kind of question. Most of the time I think this must be a troll but after reading that answers I feel shame.
And I think there is nothing wrong with saying "google these keywords: ...". As Fablefox said knowing the keywords should be enough to solve a problem. Most of the time answer to the your question should be on top page.

I might be inclined to post some sort of minimally helpful link, like lmgtfy.com, if it looks a lot like the OP posted some homework question and didn't even try to research it themselves.
Don't be afraid to report posts in which you think are behaving like asses. The mods will look at it and decide if it warrants any sort of warning/punishment. Complaining about it won't do a whole lot besides maybe make you feel a bit better.
