OpenGL artefacts
I was wondering if anyone can help me with this rather strange problem. Whenever I run any OpenGL application that has a 3D scene strange artefacts will appear all over the scene. Small blocks of solid colour all over the place. If the 3D part is full screen then almost all of the screen is covered in a big block of colour with the top portion visible but still with artefacts. Here is a picture to show what I mean:

This only happens with OpenGL! Direct3D stuff is completely normal. I am using an ATi Radeon 9800SE with Radeon Omega Drivers v4.8.442. I have tried disabling triple buffering and forcing the z-buffer to 24 bit but to no avail. I've had this problem before and I had fixed it before I reformatted everything but now I can't remember what it was I did to fix it. Anyone got any ideas?

could it be you have the wrong opengl dlls? Look in the windows folder system32 just to be sure.
Everything is better with Metal.
How do I know if they are the right ones or not?

Ive seen similar stuff before, though the card was overheating. Try reinstalling new drivers perhaps
Definitely update drivers first. Completely uninstall the old drivers, then install the newest from http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx. What Windows version are you using?

Oops yeah I'm on Windows XP SP3. I'll try reinstalling drivers.

This is totally random shot in the dark you probably already thought of but - you aren't running a 64bit system by any chance, are you?
