I recently got a commission to make a video for a local musician. I’ve been wanting to explore the field of music games and he agreed to let me experiment. I was distinctly trying to avoid a ddr or guitar hero approach and instead wanted a game that functioned on its own but took direction from the song. Technology being what it is, it makes sense to create things that play with the music and user input. Where do you think music and games are headed?
