Video editing software
Hi guys I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about what software I should get if I want to do video reviews of games? I would like a free one if possible but if not I have a budget up to around £40. I would also like to know how I could record gameplay of my playstation 3. Can I just plug in a video camera and check some settings and thats it?
Thanks alot! :D

You wont get any good video editing software for 40 pounds.
If you have Windows, though, just use Windows Movie Maker.

I found out my dad has a copy of pinnacle studio version 11 floating around so I am going to give that a try once it has downloaded. Hopefully that will get me going.

Thats surprising. Practically everything has a free/open source version thats at least half decent. I know nothing about movie editing though so maybe you're right and thats one area thats lacking.
Hi thanks for the replies anyone know how I can capture video straight off my computer screen. Say I wanted to record what I am doing on the computer how would I do this?

Wish I could help but sorry I know nothing about this.
When you do find something that works for you can you post back here and let us know? :)

Well Fraps is probably the best program for this, but it's also probably not worth the price. There are free alternatives that you can use, but I don't know any offhand.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any open source video editors that even offer the basic features necessary for most projects (motion tracking, useful tools for compositing, etc.). If anyone knows of such a program I'd like to hear of it as well.

Guys jing is amazing it is so simple to use and its just great. The only downside is that with the free version you have to convert to a different file type if you want to upload to youtube. But overall its great :D
