Personally I find computational self assembly an extremely compelling concept. Anyway the good people at Iowa State university have some free software to try: ISU TAS You create some tiles with different glue strengths on each edge. Then you put a seed tile on the self assembly board and let your design grow. It's kinda fun and it is an introduction to an extraordinary topic. Sean O'Connor
