word "homeworld" trademarket?
Can anyone tell me whether i'm eligible to call my TD game for the iPhone "homeworld defense" or is it not allowed to use the term 'homeworld' in the title for a game?
Thanks for the info!
Since there is a game called "Homeworld", it's quite likely that it is trademarked.
However, the only way to be sure is to check with the trademark authorities of the countries you want to sell your game in (or have a lawyer check for you).
I doubt very much that the owners of the trademark "Homeworld" would frequent this forum, so asking here is quite pointless.

Trademark law varies by location. It is a question for a qualified trademark lawyer.
When in doubt, pick the safest option.
In this case, the safest option is to avoid any word that even remotely resembles another title.

For the US you will need to search here US Patent & Trademark office and for Europe European Union trademarks - there are obviously countries not covered by these two that you would need to check individually.
As others have suggested staying clear of a name you know to have been used is probably the easiest option. Go for something like "Home Planet TD" instead.
Edit: Link fixed - doh
