I am not sure of the forum rules for giving stuff away. I am doing a clearing house of stuff and e-bay, amazon just seems like a head ache. I could just dump this stuff at the local thrift store, but I highly doubt anyone would find this stuff interesting. Mostly books and some gear. Basically... what are the rules of posting when it comes to giving stuff away. Should I be directed to craig's list?

If you're a well-established member, it usually doesn't bother anybody.

Yeah, it depends on what you have. If its something interesting, technological, or nerd worthy we might be interested.

Other people have given away books and the like before. Just be careful not to post any personal details that will persist in Google - finalize your deals over PM.
