I’ve just come across this board as I’ve got some ideas I want do something with more than have rolling round in my head. The ideas aren’t alternatives of current games but with more guns and I don’t have any particular wish to make them so they would be free for anyone else to use. If I were to post here would people be interested in discussing?
Game ideas are always good - but be aware that everyone has ideas, and the chances of a particular idea catching on are pretty slim [smile]

Cheers, I'll draft out some in the next few days

For certain values of 'draft' I don't think this is a particularly useful thing to do.

If you're going to think about your idea, figure out what the core mechanics are and post a concise description of them for discussion; I'd like to see that.

If you're going to think about your idea, and pick one aspect of the game you're imagining and post a concise description of it for us to share our thoughts on; this is also something I would like to see.

If you're not sure how a particular part of your game should work, and you can cohesively describe the relevant portions and the confusion they give rise to, this is also something I would like to see.

However...

If you're going to write a really long post approximating a design document for a game that you've come up with, hoping that I (I won't speak for others on this board) will comment on it or pick through it for the nuggets of good ideas hidden inside, I would prefer you didn't; I find these posts to be stand ins for actually doing the work of breaking down a design into its components and working through the kinks.

I like the tone of your original post, and I hope you take this as encouragement to engage in strong, design-oriented discussions.
