They've finally made it: http://www.newsobserver.com/business/story/1612209.html I don't think this is going to really affect anything about the development of Linux, but it's nice to see this acknowledgment by the Old World. The nature of Linux means that (on a per-installation level) it is much less visible financially than the other players in the market. To see that one of the important distribution vendors got included into such an index anyway is an encouraging indication.

wow I wouldnt of thought they would make a top5000 let alone 500

but looking at wiki they had revenue of $650million last year, far more than I would of thought
