Hi guys, I'm pretty sure this is my first post on here so go easy! :P Are there any good resources on team sport AI available, either on the web or book/paper form? I have AI Game Engine Programming by Schwab, and that's pretty much it. Articles on the web seem to be fairly vague on the topic. Cheers in advance!
Mat Buckland actually puts together a working football (soccer) game in Programming Game AI by Example. It's not realistic, but it gets the point across on some of the things you would have to consider.

Much of your question cannot be answered unless you select a particular sport. What did you have in mind?

Thanks for the reply!

I was thinking of a basic rugby game.

I might have to get a copy of that book you mentioned.
