What''s wrong with this program for loading a TGA image and making it a texture on a quad? #include // Header File For Windows #include // Header File For Standard Input / Output #include // Header File For Variable Argument Routines #include // Header File For String Management #include // Header File For The OpenGL32 Library #include // Header File For The GLu32 Library HDC hDC=NULL; // Private GDI Device Context HGLRC hRC=NULL; // Permanent Rendering Context HWND hWnd=NULL; // Holds Our Window Handle HINSTANCE hInstance; // Holds The Instance Of The Application bool keys[256]; // Array Used For The Keyboard Routine bool active=TRUE; // Window Active Flag Set To TRUE By Default bool fullscreen=TRUE; // Fullscreen Flag Set To Fullscreen Mode By Default typedef struct // Create A Structure { GLubyte *imageData; // Image Data (Up To 32 Bits) GLuint bpp; // Image Color Depth In Bits Per Pixel. hey,

a couple of things i noticed, however i don't know if they would account for the problem (which i'm not even sure what is) what happens when u run the program?

anyways, you only need to call glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D) once unless it is disabled before you draw your quad. secondly, you have something like:

    glBegin(GL_QUADS);{  // coords n stuff}glEnd();

you don't need the parenthesis' after glBegin, and before glEnd.

you could also try disabling GL_BLEND too.

a few things.. prolly not whatever the problem is though.

oh, and make sure the path to your tga file is correct, and that it is the correct format.

When I run it I just get a empty screen without the quad in it

Argh, it won''t even draw with this:

int DrawGLScene(GLvoid)
{
glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT);
glLoadIdentity();
glTranslatef(0.0f, 0.0f, -20.0f);
glColor3f(0.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f);
glBegin(GL_QUADS);
{
glVertex3f(-1.0f, -1.0f, 0.0f);
glVertex3f( 1.0f, -1.0f, 0.0f);
glVertex3f( 1.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f);
glVertex3f(-1.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f);
}
glEnd();
return TRUE;
}
hi,

In your InitGL(GLvoid) function try:

glDepthFunc (GL_LEQUAL);

instead of

glDepthFunc (GL_LESS);
it doesn''t seem to work

Any other ideas?
hi,

well, that seems to be roughly the same as NeHe''s TGA tutorial (if not the same), have u tried his tutorial? does it work? just compare them.
