The Conflicker Virus has been around for a few months now, but I read this interesting article by CNN and it looks pretty serious since Microsoft posted a $250,000 reward related to helping catch the "bad guys" who created the virus. The thing is that this virus infects 5-10 million computers so there's no telling what damage this can do. Microsoft classified this one on the Severe rank. Apparently this virus is supposed to do something on to Windows on April 1, 2009. CNN Article Anyone worried?? What kind of attacks do you think we could expect is this were a true threat?
We sort of hashed this over already in another thread: You are infected with GhostNet. Conficker C could turn out to be very serious. It could also turn out to be much ado about nothing. Only three hours left to find out on the West Coast!
