Blue Fiend Needs Feedback Badly!

This is a Arena Shmup I made using the Virtual On 4k engine I made. It shows off my abillities with vector graphics and also a new collision detection algorithm I developed. It has a really cool blur filter, three types of weapons, four types of enemies, and an end-boss! Controls: WSAD || HOME/END/DELETE/ PAGEDOWN = MOVE LEFT MOUSE = LEFT GUN RIGHT MOUSE = RIGHT GUN E || PAGEUP = BOOST V = PAUSE Tip: Boosting makes you invincible. http://prime.turquoisegrotto.com/java/bluefiend.jnlp ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway, I really need some feedback for this. Please tell me what you did and didn't like about it, and any ideas you have to make it better.

Good, but a few annoying design decisions. Firstly, why does the ship blur when you move. It was highly distracting, so I just ended up shooting constantly to stop it.

Second, with games like this, having enemies that take more than one shot to kill and no obvious feedback on health, or even collision is a problem. When there was those turret things, it lost its appeal. I shot it lots, I could not dodge the barrage it was shooting at me and they never seemed to die.

Also, as the thing tracks the mouse perfectly, you basically just put your mouse on the enemy and bank round it automatically clicking as fast as you can. It might be better to either use the mouse for steering or only be able to shoot forwards.
