I don't mean to cast racial dispersions. I understand that America has a very diverse culture, got no problem with that. In any event this might come out the wrong way, please understand that isn't my intent. Otherday my department was called into a training meeting. Pretty routine when working for a big international company. Usualy involves safety issues and work practices. This time it was about sexual harassmnet. Usualy this type of thing involves some sort of powerpoint presentation and whatnot. This time our training class on dealing with sexual harassment in the workplace was in the form of a training video. Not unusual, but this video was seemingly filmed in India. We are shown a cast of seemingly Indian stage actors with little grasp of the english language. Whom are portraying characters with names like Sally, Mike, Carol, and Jimmy. They go through these little scenes. Like where Mike walks up to Sally, and says something like "If you have sex with me, I will give you a promotion." in a very thick Indian accent. honestly I'm not sure exactly what was said. Only recall the character names because each wore big "tricked out nametags". It was the most absurd thing I have ever seen. You should have seen the Jimmy character do his best impersonation of the Travolta character from Saturday Night Fever. Has anybody else seen this? Has India now become the center for industrial film production?

Did they break into a Bollywood style dance at the end? I kid, I kid...

From the sounds of it, it may have been targetted at immigrants coming into America for social training.

A friend of mine, in Australia, runs seminars for Indian immigrants for social training. They teach them what is socially acceptable (such as hygiene), and what is not socially acceptable in Australia (such as workplace harrassment). At the end of the seminar, they are each given a pack that contains deoderant, tooth brush and tooth paste.
