Link for great justice. So Philly Beer Week is March 6th through 15th this year. It's supposed to be the largest such Beer Week in the country. I've heard that the Brewmaster of Guinness makes a special trip to Philly Beer Week to meet and great. It sounds pretty epic. I have a friend who lives in the 'burbs of Philly, and so my current plans are to stay with him and be pretty damn inebriated for the entirety of the weekend of the 13th. In point of fact, I am in "training" right now, wherein I intend to drink as much as possible between now and that weekend so as to condition my liver to the debauchery that will commence. I'm halfway through a bottle of chianti right now, and the second half is going fast. It's not affecting me quite like I expected it to, so I might have to down one of my bottles of home-made apple cider wine. The training regimen dictates at least 1 bottle of wine or 1/2 a bottle of whiskey a night between now and the 13th. It also calls for an extremely low calorie diet during the day, with vitamin supplements and plenty of water, so don't worry about my health, I know what I'm doing. Anyone else plan on doing anything for that week? I'm still working out my agenda (I'm going to construct a very detailed itinerary), but I know I'm at least going to attend Friday the Firkinteenth, which apparently starts at 9am that Friday. A capital time to engage in the consumption of various brewed libations, I do say. Maybe we can make a GDNet meet out of it.

Wow, how did I not hear about that? I'll have to duck in for a few of those.

Bar hopping downtown? This is relevant to my interests! However not relevant to my geography [sad] I graduated two years early damnit! I'm definitely going to plan for next year though. That and make sure I get off work for GDC. Best March '10 ever!

Not the entire weekend, I'm afraid-- I tend to have a lot of stuff to get done over weekends. Definitely up for some of the weekend, though. Ever been to Grace Tavern? Best bar in Philly.

Alright, so it looks like I'm going to be at the Grey Lodge Pub from 2:30 to whenever-the-kegs-kick. From there, I don't know where I will end up, but maybe the Drafting Room.
