hoorah got this working this weekend, my program loads a MD3 file (quake3''s)and applys cell shading. changed it a bit now, so i have cell shading as well as a flat texture to get that shaded cartoon look (aparently ) :]] theres a description of how ive done it, (if someone wants a basic idea) on deadpenguin.org or download the exe and source (and md3 models and textures so its 1.1mb) i did email this to nehe but it bounced, so if your reading, slap the gamedev admins aboot ;] __________________ graham "red" reeves. red@deadpenguin.org www.deadpenguin.org

just the timedelta for my timing routine

gotta try to boost them fps :] its a flat 75 with 1 pass, and drops to ~50 with 2 passes. multi-texturing doesnt seem to make a significant difference.

The textures on sonic''s model doesn''t show up. Any ideas why??
(voodoo3 2000 if that matters)
The URL on the web page links to grem3d.zip, not gremd3.zip, Just thought you''d like to know.
That looks fantastic! I''ve always wanted to try doing that very thing. Nice work.

Turning green with envy,

anon1: i dont think the voodoo''s support multi-texturing, in which case, you just see the cell shading

anon2: thanks, ill fix it later :]

Voodoo3s support multitexturing. The problem is that the texture is larger than 256x256.

MD3 loader, Cell shading OMG
