I was just wondering if with technology that isn't super expensive, is it possible to make an rpg were you for example aim a spell at someone and shoot it and the other guy can roll forward, backward, and sideways using the mouse wheel and buttons?
It's very possible. It just depends on which method you want to use.
Go to yoyogames.com to get the basic overall game making machine. That's what I use to make sprite games and it's free.

I know this is off topic, but i didnt want to make another thread. As a game designer do you do any programming?
I wouldn't really call myself a game designer yet. While I have made a couple of experiments in my free time, I'm only 19. I have done programming, but I'm pretty terrible at it. I'm currently teaching myself C++. Are you wanting to become a game designer?

Most of the game designers at my previous study had to implement the major story items, etc... in lua. Most designers from what I've seen have to do some scripting work.
really i dont want to get into until i fully understand it. i like my ideas, but by myself i cant implement them. In others words i will if it doesnt require programming or anything like that, just ideas.

Ah, yes. This is a problem everyone runs into, myself included. Everybody has ideas, it's expressing them that's the problem.
Unfortunately you probably will have to know some code in order to get a job as game designer. As I said before, I'm not a game designer myself, but as far as I know getting a job as game designer is a rare thing if you haven't worked in the industry before hand (as a programmer, artist, etc.).
You can always publish the game yourself, but this involves constructing a team of people to make the game for you, or make it yourself.
I'm currently trying to learn how to make games on my own. So are about 20,000 other people on the internet. The video games people are playing right now on their Xbox, Playstation, and Wii were made by many people all working very hard to see their own ideas come to life. So when it comes down to it you have to ask yourself: how much am I willing to do to see my idea come to life?
thx for advice.
