Quest and adventure ideas
I am in the process of creating quests and adventures for my game, Aragon Online (see sig for link). The game is a role-playing, fantasy wargame, where the "player" commands a small to large army. I'm trying to get some ideas for quests that are not the hackneyed cliches such as "A group of ____ has kidnapped ____, will you go kill them and rescue him/her?" This is more difficult (to me) than the standard dungeon crawl, because it has to be something that a group of soldiers would do, in an outdoor setting. A little googling gave me these sites, but 75% or more of the ideas won't work: http://www.rpgarchive.com/ http://home.earthlink.net/~ad2300/5-minute.htm http://www.io.com/~sjohn/plots.htm http://digital.raven.tripod.com/rp/ideas_written.html Any ideas that I might steal, I mean, use?
If you're commanding an army, it would make more sense to look at RTS examples than RPG ones wouldn't it? There's probably a website somewhere that lists the mission objectives for all the missions in Warcraft 3 and Starcraft's single player campaigns, and similar things for similar games.

I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.
