Blender
I recently purchased a new computer with windows vista, and now I Blender doesn't run very smoothly. Does this happen very often with Windows Vista? Is there any program that I can download to replace Blender on my computer?
I had the same problem and I just needed to update my video drivers, if that doesn't work you can try disabling aero glass.
You have to find out what video card your using and go to their site to download driver updates. If the video card is integrated into the motherboard do the same except go to the motherboard makers site to download drivers.
yeah first if its intragrated check for chipset drivers this is released by the chip provider

I had to disable the aero-glass display thing to get blender to work. With some software, it disables itself, but with Blender, it isn't done automatically. I have an NVidia 8600GT video card with good drivers, so I don't think that would cause the problem. The Aero-Glass display doesn't really contain anything too important for me anyway, though it looks cool, so I just leave it disabled for compatibility.
