I got the same problem ^^. As far as I know there's only one from illusionsoft which is not really up-to-date. But you could export/import FBX files and use the autodesk fbx-converter (converts to collada).

That works fine for me.

I went looking for importers a while back, and I found this one. I can't remember where I found it, but I think he's taken the illusionsoft version and made improvements.

Blender support for Collada is very problematic, and last time I heard the issue discussed, the Devs didn't regard it as a very high priority. Your best choice could well be to write a new importer/exporter [sad]
