I was wondering if a person is able to buy a copyright and trademark for there game name and company name with only a demo copy of a game ? Also how much would it cost to copyright / trademark these things ?

1. Yes and no. The copyright is automatic once you express the concept in a tangible form, and yes you can register the copyright on a demo (it wouldn't copyright the game that doesn't exist yet, however). But the trademark you can't obtain until you are in business.
