Hello I am about to write the vegetation renderer of my terrain engine and am looking for some nice looking grass textures such as those on this picture here. I have been looking around on all my texture sites without luck, so I ask you to point me into the right direction If possible they should contain a alpha channel already. Thx for your help in advance.

Any case you could simply use the texture above and create your own alpha-channel...?

Well the texture above is just 512*512, a pretty low resolution.

I would prefer some free textures or maybe some good photos so I can create the sprites on my own.
Or maybe a commercial texture pack

Go outside and take photos. If you are good with Photoshop or something similiar it´s very easy to make such textures with an alpha channel.
