3ds max tutorials?
Can anyone point me to some online tutorials on modelling for games on 3ds max? Preferably character and/or world modelling(?)? How to animate, skin, bone, everything?
Thanks
Have you even looked into the documentation or Autodesk's website?
Autodesk 3ds Max Services & Support - Training -> Self-Paced Training -> Tutorials / Training DVDs

I checked the documentation out and found it to be so terribly boring. Know any others? Again my aim is to create simple character models.
By the way I would like someone whom I could keep myself in contact with(Through instant messenger and/or the like?) if anyone would be so kind.
Thanks

Lol, well, you chose the wrong career then...
All tutorials/documentation is going to be like that, and unless you're actually interested in learning it, you won't get far.

I doubt that, I found a great tutorial on 3ds max that i enjoyed a lot a while back on 3dbuzz.com(or something like that). Although it was incomplete...(Or I couldnt find the remaining parts). Same when I tried blender I found tutorials that were very appealing. I haven't found any consistent tutorials on 3ds max since then. The few I've come upon have been inconsistent and about isolated subjects.

Thats my point, i highly doubt every single tutorial or bit of documentation will be fun and exciting, yet you have to learn it anyway. If you want to progress, you need to learn what you can from documentation without worrying if it will be fun.
Though i'm sure it is possible to find enjoyable tutorials for just about everything you'd need. But doing so would probably be more time consuming than just learning from documentation you already have. If you have the information at your finger tips, why look elsewhere? Learn it and move on.

See, the problem is that there are plenty of free tutorials and if you really want to learn 3ds max you can use them. But it is hard to find consistency and appeal. It's the old adage, you get what you pay for. If you want really good, really interesting tutorials, it will cost you.

I recommend those tutorials that show you how to create a model from beginning to the end.
