Generating Directional LightMaps in 3DS Max

Hi, Is there a way to generate Directional LightMaps (AKA Radiosity LightMaps) as the one computed by the Half Life 2 or Unreal 3 engines? I looked at the light map render in Max and the options on VRay but can't find a light map generator that allow to compute the three light maps composing the Directional LightMaps. Has any of you found a way to generate them in 3DSMax or are do you know of any other software that generate them.
As far as I know, after you have your lighting set up, you would go to Rendering>Render to texture. Under the output list click add and select lightmap. Hope that helps.
