Anyone know where i can get some help on CD ripping? Looking for some guidelines on creating my own program to do this.

There are a load of open-source CD Ripping programs over at www.sourceforge.net - just do a local search for CD Ripper. There is certainly enough stuff over there to get you started.

Also check out i know Colin Barry told you about sourceforge already but heres a webpage "akrip.sourceforge.net" with a few links that may be helpful to you forgot which one deal with ripping and has source code to the programs and some guided study type stuff.
