Hi guys, At the begining I wanted to apologise if a similiar topic has been started but my searching through the vast contents of GDNET didnt came up with a result so i'm starting this one :) I'm just about to start writing dialogs for my RPG game and i started thinking "where can i look for inspirations?" Well the obvious answer was - my fav books, movies, games etc. I would want for this topic to be a kind of a database of inspiration for your own dialogs, so if have one: post it (please write where it comes from) My fav dialog from a book called "USE OF WEAPONS" by Ian M Banks goes something like this (i have only the translated version sorry if the english sounds little bit different): - Tell me what is luck? - Luck?... Luck is waking up, on a beautiful spring morning, after exhausting night full of passion and sex, next to a gorgeous, fit and stunning ... serial killer. - Shit, only that much?
I think one of the coolest things writers can do is reference their favorite books, games, movies, and so on without making it blatantly obvious they're doing so. For instance, in the movie Dogma, the protagonists and antagonists of the movie coincidentally meet on a train, and Silent Bob ends up throwing them off the train. Another passenger looks stunned at Silent Bob, who says (his only line in the movie), "No ticket," a reference to Indiana Jones.

I've thought about about keeping lists of memorable quotes I enjoy for that reason.
