long ago in a place known as klazx, a group of elves from the planet of kelfor, yes kelfor of the klghor system! the deadliest of them all, the day they died they were confronted by a magical and extensive force called the "claxzer" pronounced klazer, and it was an enormously complex AI arm peice, allowing dna extraction, simple hacking of computers, and simple time flux shifts, and even a weapon of galactic porportions.... all the size of an arm....

Warhammer 40K obviously does this. So does Star Wars and even the Dune series to a lesser extent. Lots of anime series are sci-fi and fantasy mixes.
