Most of you have probably seen this already but just incase here are some links about the procedural music in Spore. http://uk.pc.gamespy.com/pc/spore/853810p1.html http://jeaninecowen.berkleemusicblogs.co...the-fun-begins/ http://www.mat.ucsb.edu/~amcleran/past.html I am also interested in working on an adaptive music setup and incidentally use Pd quite a lot, the same software used in Spore. If anyone is interested please PM me. Chris

Wow, I didn't know Spore was doing procedural music! That's something I've been meaning to play around with for years, but never got around to.

I particularly want to see how they do that "make your own anthem" thing, because that's one of the things I want to experiment with myself. I'd love to have an app where you can make a motiv for your character and have the music system incorporate it into the score.

Its been a while since I check in here.
Thanks for the spore URL as I lost it when somebody posted it in PD-list.

Anyway, here's a Spore-Inspired generative music using PD...
A fun project that could go from bright to dark mode or slow to fast tempos.
I will be exploring this more to use as an audio engine itself...
