Contemporary Satirical MMO?

A co-worker of mine were joking about the idea of a game that basically got its content by mocking new headlines much like many comedy shows like South Park, Futurama, Family Guy, and The Simpsons do. Basically, the NPCs/mobs/bosses would be social, political, and internet figures/icons and the player classes would be stereotypes like 'The Bro', 'Emo Kid', 'Hipster', and 'Geek/Nerd' among others - some haven't been thought of yet... Quests & Raids would be only slightly different from the standard, but the more absurd the better... Still would be challenging. A system could be made to keep content flowing on a consistent basis to somewhat keep up with the times. Player classes, or for this game "stereotypes" would be labelled post-initial creation based on the character's attire and the way he or she interracts with NPCs (and maybe even other players)... Any opinions?
Sounds like it would be tough to whip up content that's "ripped from the headlines" on a regular basis, and you'd have to be on the ball about removing it when it gets stale. Polygamist pedophiles are a funny NPC to put in there, but then when it turns out that they get their kids back, it's suddenly not as tasteful to ridicule their lifestyle.

"Regular Basis" as in bi-weekly or monthly.

Satire isn't always about funny and certainly isn't about tasteful... I really don't get where you're trying to come from on that sentence... If you don't like that they got their kids back, you attack the system/persons that allowed that to happen with satire...
