Hi folks, Have any of you encountered systems for managing audio assets during the development process? Like, for storing and searching a database of FX, loops, sounds, music, etc... So far I've found Sonomic TLS, Soundminer, MSoft's ServerSound and Gallery MTools, but I'm wondering if anyone can point me at any others.

We are using Alienbrain for our assets, which includes all depts for the game. It works great and even allows the developers to pick through various iterations uploaded. I can also check out assets, update the file and then resubmit them easily and quickly.

Not sure if that is what you're looking for, but it has worked great for our large team.

Thanks. I've used AlienBrain in the past, but IIRC it doesn't have things like the ability to preview sounds, or the ability to tag and search on metadata on the files?

We can preview sounds with our version of Alienbrain. About metadata, I'm not sure what that is exactly. I can attach details to each iteration of the files I upload and the system automatically logs all changes made to a file and who made that change.

I am using Basehead SFX. Quite happy with it. I can browse, preview and edit and works smoothly on my network I have setup this week. Beside the possibilities it is quite cheap compared to Soundminer.
