[Carrara] Scale of exported models

Any Carrara users here by any chance? I'm trying to export some models from Carrara for use in a game project, but for some reason I can't figure out how to export them at the correct scale. It seems that the models are always exported with inches as the unit. This means (for example) that if the model is built using meters as the units of measure, 1 unit in Carrara comes out as 39.37 units in the exported model. (I've tried VRML, .obj, and .3ds, but get the same results in each case). Obviously this isn't a big issue (it's easy to apply a scaling to compensate), but I can't help but think I'm missing some simple option that will allow 1 unit in Carrara to equal 1 unit in the exported model, regardless of what units of measurement are used in the Carrara interface. Neither I nor the artist I'm working with are Carrara 'power users', so to speak, so it's possible there's an obvious solution that we've overlooked (I have searched the manual and the internet, but haven't found any mention of this issue). Thanks for any help.
I don't know about Carrara, but 3dsmax is like that as well: regardless of the artist's units, it always comes out inches in the export.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe Carrara works this way as well - if so, I guess I'll just have to settle for inches :)
