Is This a good 3d model?

Its looking pretty good. The texturing could use some work though. However, you should be careful of anything cylindrical for game models. They tend to increase your polygon count like crazy, i would try to use less segments in the main body of the helmet. For games, things like the bolts and the supports going to the top of the helmet would be better done by texturing with the use of normal mapping. That would lower you polygon count a lot and have it look similar and still react dynamically to lighting. I am also wondering if you're quoting the "polygon" count instead of the "triangle" count. This may be a little confusing, but all games strip polygons into triangles, as such, whenever an artist is quoting polygons he is usually quoting the triangle amount. Look for the polygon counter under the utilities tab, when you have it open you can switch between the two.
I'm not sure if you wanted a critique, but there you have it ;-)
Though your model is very good for a first model, good job, its way better than my first model :-)

Thank you for your critique, it 'll be helpfull to improving my skills.
Normal mapping is too difficultly for me yet.
Great Job! I'm having trouble convincing my game artist that it's not that hard to make things realistic, but I must admit he's using Blender, not a very fast program at all, and not very good rendering. I got to draw something like that to show him the ease. But I'd say it looks pretty nice, very realistic, and great way of setting it up. Looks somewhat professional if you ask me!

It could use less triangles, I agree. Remember, max performance while having the best look! And it's being seen from a distance, not very big compared to the entire world, so it doesn't have to look to great.

I like it. I doubt if it has to many polyones, except for a random object. I think the main character should have a higher polygon count because it is always in front of you.
NO.!
its a child work .
you are using textures and not real 3d dravings.
its childs standard .
and stupid
anyway you saitd its first .
so its ok as first one.

That is true, but that is not an excuse to be wasteful. The helmet could be made using less polys and still look the same. That is not a must since this is his first model, but you should not think that way as you progress. When you get to more complex models, being wasteful will cause your polys to grow out of control.

Sorry, but i, and probably others, have no idea what you're talking about. Could you rephrase it?
