printing the wrong size

Hi there. I'm using an Epson 895 with cupsys-driver-gutenprint on Kubuntu. Everything's fine except it's printing things too small -- the test page shows its ruler is miscalibrated. How do I fix this?

Wrong DPI setting? I know of some printers that can't handle different DPI well and start printing on a different scale. Those big Konica Minolta office all-in-one scanner/copier/fax/printer machines can only handle 600 DPI for example (at least, using the driver that I do). If I send something there in a different DPI it comes out the wrong size.
