I was wondering, I know that NeHe is obviously over 20, as he has a job. I wanted to know what the average age was for programmers and specifically OpenGL programmers. I''m 13 myself and I don''t know of anyone more than a year younger than me that is a serious programmer. What ages are people around here and does anyone think that there is an age where OpenGL becomes possible, maybe because thats when u learn the neccessary math. OK. Plz don''t flame me . I was just wondering. baldurkarlsson
If you are concerned about the math, wait until the end of high-school, and you should have covered it all. You might be able to understand all of the math depending on how good you are in math; it isn''t really that terribly difficult math, just don''t try to derive all the equations and formulas yourself.

Wait a little bit and then ya will get this suxxing math stuff...
It makes more fun whe ya understand what ya do.
And with the age...there are no limits! Everything is possible...

PS: I´m 17
I''m not actually worried about math. I can read up on what I don''t understand. I was just actually wondering what ages people were.

I''m 24 and i''ve been coding since the age of 17~18... Started OpenGL just about six month ago...

Regarding the math question... Like Tipplerp said... You''ll eventually learn it in school.

Ciao !!!
I''m 16 now.. started programming C/C++ seriously.. hmm ..1 1/2 years ago.. OGL for about 8 months now... well, in theory for a year or so, took me about 4 months to really get goin'' .

If you just have to read up what you don''t know in maths, and you understand it on the fly.... wow respect ..

Phil

I started programming around 10, and I started experimenting with OpenGL over a year ago. I''m 16 now.
