Hi, I am currently undertaking a project concerning the linking together of games with teaching. I am expected to research these areas with a specific age group in mind. The emphasis of this project is aimed at the teaching element rather than the game production. I was initially looking to aim the game at key stage 3 students (11 - 13) and to teach them about the periodic table. I was thinking though that this perhaps to much of an hard task so i was thinking of lowering the target age. I would really appreciate any ideas people have on game ideas and design document advice. Regards,

You can find several game design document templates and samples - you just need to add a section on the educational requirements for your target audience. As for game ideas, I recommend the "Whack on the Side of the Head" and "Kick in the Seat of the Pants" works by Roger Von Oech.
