Does it look like they''re getting hardware acceleration? If not, try updating your drivers (10.8 was the last release candidate that got leaked, as far as I know), that''s always a good first step. Do other OpenGL programs run decently?

Any program that is made from another person (including me) seems to run slowly, smooth, but slowly. All games seem to run find though. It wierd. *Beats computer with a big stick*

Hey mate, I was having the same kinda problem usin glut, try to look for glut 3.7.3 on nate robin''s web page, this might give some improvement to your MX.
I''m personally devellopping openGL programs, I have a MX too, and no other problem to deplore, remember it''s not a geforce3, though.
when it comes to multi texturing, cache management is really crucial, because of the small bandwith of the card. try to install Nvidia''s latest drivers (but not the 10.8 or above, they''re designed especially for the GF3, and some benchmarks show a small decrease of performance on GF2 cards with these) you can also get Hercules ''s 3D tweaker and disable the Vsync of you card, therefore the computer doesn''t have to wait for the monitor to compute the image, and if you''ve got the Hercules MX, not OEM, it means you''ve got high quality SDR on board, and you can easily get the ram run fine at 200 mhz ( 183 is the default ), and get the core up to 190 ( 175 is the default ) this should give you a 15% increase in frame rate.
