Any suggestion on where I can get free .X files. I dont have maya/max installed on my laptop to convert formats. Not looking for anything special.

Buy something cheap like Milkshape, or use Blender. It will be quicker than trying to find .x models, and will give you exponentially more options.

You can always look at TurboSquid, they have heaps of free models and all sorts of diferent formats.
