Graphics Upgrade
i have a quick question about graphics memory (since im planning on upgrading my GPU). my current card has DDR memory, and seems to work; but the question is: does my new graphics card have to have DDR memory as well, or can i change to DDR2? i came accross a similar problem when i was upgrading my RAM, which turned out to have DDR memory, and i found out i could only use other DDR memory chips in those slots, i couldnt switch to DDR2. is this the same with graphics cards or no?

In short it doesn't matter what type of ram your old card had. The card has the memory on-board so when you replace the card with a newer one, it doesn't matter what you're old card had. You just have to be sure to get a video card that will install on your motherboard and that your power supply can handle the load of the new video card.
