Somehow, this makes me think of racing ponies through the woods, throwing exploding crystals at competitors. Although you could turn it into a stables sim, too, with the accountant and everything. My biggest problem: I can't make art. I'm also thinking this would be a great reason to try out some engine for real, either C4 (which I have some experience with) or Qube (which I just recently discovered). Of course, this adds another half year to my "how to ship a game in less than ten years" journal. But in the end, it's all about having fun :-)
