It would buy me a heck of a lot of time on G4TV. And that's the main network I would wanna advertise on. |
You might want to advertise there, but would your sponsor? After all, if you're accepting money in "sponsorship" then you're just the piper.... it's the person who pays you that calls the tune. That company may not have any interest in having their product/service advertised on a games network. To use my earlier example, would a pet food company want to hand over $25k to have a game that features one screen saying "Proudly sponsored by DoggyBiks" promoted on a games network?
I'm sorry to repeat myself here - but what does the sponsoring company get out of it? Their goal for handing over money is to make more money. Either by shifting more product or attracting more clients. Any plan that offers anything less than that is going to be rejected.
If you want to attract business sponsorship then you need to already have a product (because if I give you money from this year's budget, then I want a return on it THIS YEAR) and be able to demonstrate how sponsoring that product will benefit the company.
I'm certainly not trying to ridicule you or your idea here, I'm just trying to give you the view from the "big company" side of the fence.
From your earlier replies, it seems you already agree with us, so I'm not trying to lecture you here, just pointing out the harsh realities!
